Sir Stephen Hough is a multifaceted artist who excels as a pianist, composer, and writer, making him one of the most prominent figures in the UK's music scene today. He has released over 50 albums, received 4 Grammy nominations, and won 8 Gramophone Awards. 2014 he was awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). Hough has collaborated with many renowned conductors, including Abbado, Ashkenazy, Dohnányi, Dutoit , Gergiev, and more. This concert, presented by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra under the direction of their music director, Yu Long, along with Stephen Hough, will indeed become one of the most highly anticipated performances of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra's 2023–24 season and the cultural scene in Shanghai in October.
