The 24th China Shanghai International Arts Festival take place from October 17 to November27, 2025. This year's festival will present over 500 different performances, exhibitions, and activities,amounting to more than 1,200 sessions in total. This year's festival will feature performances, exhibitions,and activities across 8 main sections: "Global Art" for Performances, "Art of Connection" for PerformingArts Fair (ChinaSPAF), "A Hundred Schools of Art" for International Dialogues, "Future of Art" RisingArtists' Works, "Art for the People" for "Art Space" community-focused art events, "The City of Art" for"Arts Plus" art education programs, "Diverse Art" for Parallel and Professional Sessions, and "InfiniteArt" for Integration and Innovation. Highlights such as "Classical Voices," "One and Only," "CompleteCollections," "Tributes to the Classics," and "Shanghai Productions" will take center stage.

This edition fully leveraged its brand effect as a world-class event, achieving continuous improvements in scale, performance quality, brand influence, and consumption stimulation. During the festival, nearly 20,000 artists from more than 80 countries and regions gathered in Shanghai, attracting a total of 14.4374 million participants online and offline. It drove a total consumption volume of 4.425 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2% over the previous edition. The overall satisfaction rate reached 97.3%, and the exposure across all channels approached 806 million. The festival’s brand value rose to between 2.345 billion and 2.452 billion yuan. A large number of high‑density, high‑quality, and customized performances served as “traffic magnets” for the city, drawing 32% of visitors from other provinces (up 4 percentage points from the last edition) and 12.6% of overseas visitors (including those from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, up 6.2 percentage points) who came specifically to Shanghai. Visitors stayed an average of 4.56 days, with an overnight stay rate as high as 88.4%, demonstrating a remarkable cultural‑tourism integration effect. With its outstanding artistic cohesion, extensive cultural influence, and strong capacity for innovation, the festival has deeply engraved the “Shanghai coordinates” on the world art map, fully showcasing its role in enhancing the city’s competitiveness and global influence.
