In 2024, Nanxun was officially upgraded to a parallel session. A large number of high-quality international performing arts resources were transferred seamlessly from the main venue in Shanghai to Nanxun and tailored to the ancient town's distinctive spaces. The Nanxun parallel session featured a selection of six main-stage productions in 11 performances, covering a rich variety of genres including fairy-tale puppet shows, magic performances, and symphony concerts; 13 immersive performances in new town spaces in 48 shows; and approximately 200 grand parades through the ancient town along with family art study programs. All these initiatives were dedicated to building a world-class family-oriented art and performance platform and a "Yangtze River Delta Family Paradise."
