Inspired by themes of “take-off, drifting, weightlessness, and suspension,” director Rachid Ouramdane collaborates with French highliner Nathan Paulin, Swiss climber Nina Caprez, and eight acrobats to present a modern version of the “Dream of Icarus”. The dancers soar between a massive climbing wall and highlines, while the stage is illuminated with projections of fantastical natural landscapes. Accompanied by Jean-Baptiste Julien’s music, which alternates between lighthearted and intense, CORPS EXTRÊMES not only showcases extraordinary skills but also explores dimensions beyond reality, portraying humanity’s pursuit of freedom and dreams.
