Invited by the R.A.W.!Land programme, the drama Mamă is brought to the stage by Romania’s prestigious Teatrul Național Radu Stanca Sibiu—one of Europe’s oldest and most esteemed theatres. Renowned for its rich artistic heritage, the theatre continues to present distinctive and powerful works on the global stage. Mamă is a heartfelt collaboration between playwright Marta Barceló and director Mariana Cămărășan. Told from a distinctly female perspective, the drama unfolds a tender tale of two women's encounter and the warmth that unfolds between them. Director Mariana Cămărășan describes it as: ‘A show whose images you will find inside you. To be seen with closed eyes and an open heart.’
