Dancing Melodies is a student dance extravaganza performed by students from elementary, middle, and high schools in Shanghai under the banner of the Shanghai Student Dance Alliance. The alliance operates under the Shanghai International Dance Center as its practice base, with guidance from top institutions like the Shanghai Dance School, Dance College of Shanghai Theatre Academy, Shanghai Ballet, and Shanghai Song and Dance Ensemble. It consists of students from 10 universities who lead and mentor students from 16 districts, primary and secondary schools, and extracurricular education institutions in Shanghai. Dancing Melodies showcases outstanding student dance works created and performed by the Shanghai Student Dance Alliance units, highlighting the excellence of student dance in Shanghai and the impressive results of dance education in Shanghai schools.
