Hosted by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the Shanghai International Digital Music Festival was included in the professional performance segment of the China Shanghai International Arts Festival for the first time in 2024, building on the academic segment from previous years. The competition segment featured both student and professional categories, with an additional online track on Bilibili, aimed at discovering and showcasing outstanding talent in game music composition. After the competition, a concert of prize-winning works was presented to showcase the excellent results of the event. The academic segment explored the development trends of the digital music industry through forums, lectures, workshops, and etc.
