As the public project of ARTRA, which is dedicated to a global think tank, the 2025 Global Talk explored the theme of "Visual, Performance and Festival Arts", initiating a deep dialogue on the innovation, openness, and integration of art festivals and creativity.

Since its establishment in 2023, "making art a truly open spiritual container" has been one of the core propositions of ARTRA. This talk connected domestic and foreign art and creative industry pioneers, such as the Manchester International Festival, Dumb Type from Japan, Lucy Guerin Inc from Australia, etc., and used global experience to reflect local practices.
The talk invited art scholar GU Ling to be the host, with four major topics: balancing local culture and global discourse power; how to reconstruct the operation of art festivals with influencing factors such as technology; how to integrate visual arts and performing arts; and how to achieve a virtuous cycle between artist creativity and art festival platforms, especially how to balance creative freedom and publicness in local creation.
At present, the integration of visual and performing arts has broken traditional boundaries. Innovative festivals and exhibitions in China have faced the challenges of "homogeneous competition" and "loss of locality". The dialogue brought diverse international experience into conversation with local challenges in China, refining the path of "differentiated survival". ARTRA has been committed to collaborating with global pioneers to create new coordinates for future art, creating value through collision, and inspiring the future through dialogue.
