LA NUÉE is a new minimalist work by French artist Nacera Belaza, who is both its choreographer and its sound and lighting designer. Presented here in a seven-performer version, it makes its China premiere on this occasion. Blending the order of the circle with the freedom of rhythm, LA NUÉE transforms them into a ritual that moves toward perpetual motion. Breaking down the conventional boundary between performers and audience, it places the spectators standing around the dancers to absorb and share their intense energy at close range. Accompanied by sound and song, this pure, immersive experience invites audiences to move beyond surface perception: to recognize clarity in darkness, sense silence amid noise and encounter the most essential presence of dance.
