Parallel Session in Hefei

As a key link in the China Shanghai International Arts Festival’s engagement with the Yangtze River Delta, the Hefei Parallel Session has successfully staged four editions since its launch in 2017. Centered on the theme “Masterpieces Lead the Way, Theatre Lights Up Luzhou”, this year’s session brings together first-rate dance dramas, plays, musicals, concerts and other high-quality productions from China and abroad. Performances will be presented across Hefei’s major theaters . The opening program will feature Protagonist by Shaanxi People’s Art Theatre on October 19 and 20, while the closing performance will be Suzhou Song and Dance Theatre’s dance drama Dream in Peony Pavilion on November 22. The Hefei Parallel Session will also offer a rich programme of public-engagement events, including guided introductions to the arts, meetings with the creative teams and themed artssalons.
