He realized that the impending demise of the Chu dynasty was drawing near. With unwavering determination, he resolved not to compromise his integrity, even in the face of impending death. He refused to align himself with the corrupt or yield to oppressive forces. He sang a battle song in his final moments, lifting his ideals. He then plunged into the Miluo River, completing the magnificent anthem of a patriot that he had composed with his own life.
