Qing Huai is a lighthearted, youthful, and romantic flower-drum opera comedy that portrays the heartwarming tale of Zhao Xiaoyan. Freshly graduated from university and newly assigned to a unit, she arrives in Yunhu village with the sincere sentiment of repaying the village's kindness with a lifetime of gratitude. Upon her arrival in Yunhu Village, Zhao Xiaoyan is met with skepticism from the village head and villagers, who mockingly refer to her as the "nosy secretary" and "nosy woman." However, as she becomes a part of the village, she encounters a range of characters, including the obstinate and difficult "Copper Pea," the greedy and infamous "Flower Butterfly," the bachelor brother who resides by the spring and constantly complains of thirst, and her annoying boyfriend. While interacting with these diverse characters, the "nosy woman" embarks on a comedic and delightful journey that resonates with the new generation of rural inhabitants. The play paints a vivid picture of the rapidly changing landscapes of southern Shaanxi, where the mountains, rivers, and countryside experience a revitalizing transformation.
