Bruce LIU

Bruce Liu is a Chinese-Canadian pianist. In 2021, he won the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland, with performances praised for their "breathtaking beauty," and is widely regarded as one of the most gifted pianists of his generation. He studied under Richard Raymond and Dang Thai Son, honing his craft with deep dedication. In recent years, he has collaborated closely with leading orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, and Vienna Symphony Orchestra, performing alongside conductors such as Manfred Honeck, Paavo Järvi, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Sir Antonio Pappano, Lahav Shani, and Dalia Stasevska. His concert engagements span the world's major halls and international festivals, with a repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary, and he is particularly acclaimed for his interpretations of Chopin. Born in Paris and raised in Montreal to Chinese parents, his multicultural background lends his artistry a distinctive, inclusive sensibility.
