Shanghai International Puppet Festival

The 8th "Golden Magnolia" Shanghai International Puppet Festival features the format of "double tournament, single exhibition", gathering 15 representative puppetry works from 11 countries including Australia, Germany, Italy, etc. Around 100 events including puppet performances, competitions, puppetry carnivals etc.will be held, covering various districts of Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region, creating an annual international puppet art gala.

This year's festival centres around the exhibition and evaluation of outstanding international puppetry works, promoting global exchange and innovation in puppet art. For the first time, a joint exhibitions for young puppet artists will be introduced, exploring the integration of technology and puppet art.
