Date2024-11-02 ~ 2025-02-23
VenueShanghai Powerlong Museum

As one of the more idea-driven new generation of Chinese artists, Ni Youyu’s creative form is very diverse, including fabric painting, woodcut, installation, photography collage and many more. He is adept at discovering and recreating the tiny things in life, evoking thunder from a place of silence. This exhibition carefully selects over 60 groups of artworks created by the artist over more than a decade. The works and accompanying documents are arranged in a linear fashion, following the curved layout of the gallery. A variety of mediums, including painting, installation, and photography, are interspersed throughout, yet remain interconnected. This arrangement allows the audience to appreciate the aesthetic differences between different mediums while moving through the exhibition, and to experience the artist's rich and diverse life journey.
