This year's festival selected 20 domestic and international exhibition projects, with a premiere ratio of 85%. Bringing together top‑tier art venues and major art events, and featuring a convergence of renowned artists, masterpieces, and emerging visual talents, it offered a comprehensive showcase of Shanghai's global cultural vision. Featured international exhibitions included ANOTHER AVANT‑GARDE: Photography 1970–2000 and Out of Silence: A Yuz Foundation Collection. Solo exhibitions by artists such as Elizaveta Porodina, Cesar Piette, and Shen Shaomin were also on display. In addition, memorial exhibitions honoring masters like Pan Yuliang, Hoo Mojong, and Liu Haisu – all of whom had deep connections to Shanghai – were presented. Key projects of Shanghai Art Trading Week, such as the 12th ART021 Contemporary Art Fair, the 10th Shanghai Young Art Fair, and the 3rd National Youth Art Invitational Exhibition, continued to be staged.
Moreover, the festival collaborated closely with the "2024 Autumn Encounter – Shanghai Art Season" and, for the first time, introduced combined tickets for performances and exhibitions under themes such as "Encountering Dunhuang" and "British Classics." These packages linked exhibitions like The Great Art of Dunhuang and Dialogues with Turner: Evoking the Sublime with performances including the dance drama The Reunion of Oasis and the ballet The Taming of the Shrew, offering audiences a richer and more diverse range of cultural choices.
