César Piette’s Solo Exhibition

This exhibition will display works that incorporate both traditional painting techniques and digital rendering. César Piette uses 3D modelling software to generate life-like images, then by using spray paint he creates a superplastic visual effect. Piette’s works offer bright colours and smooth lines, depicting scenarios including humans, flora and fauna, constructing a world that is both realistic and artificial. He challenged the border between reality and fiction, using the format of figurative art to reimagine traditional themes such as still life or portraits. Piette’s creations both stem from Western art history, and reflects on the visual culture in the digital age, combining the adorable and the bizarre into a thought-provoking unique aesthetic.
