Restart: Metaphysics 2024

“Restart: Metaphysics 2024” will be held from November 7^th 2024 to January 5^th 2025 at the Being Art Museum. This exhibition focuses on 32 Shanghai abstract artists ranging from the “40s” generation to the “90s” generation, discussing the origin of art and aesthetics using paintings, installation, and videos. Curated by Li Xu in 2005 who established the “Restart” series, this 5^th edition aims to rekindle the public's awareness of abstract art. This exhibition not only showcases the continuity and evolution of abstract art, but also demonstrates its important role in Chinese contemporary art.
