Award-winning playwright YU Rongjun breaks away from his usual style to co-create Chong Chong’s Hamsters with his son—a collaboration that infuses the tale with deep familial emotion and life wisdom. Produced by Rolling Puppet Alternative Theatre from Macau, this parent-child theatre piece is directed by LIN Tingting, who blends innovative elements such as large-scale puppet costumes, hand-and-rod puppets, live projection, and puppet cinema to build a vibrant, imaginative stage world full of childlike wonder. Every detail—light, sound, and visual design—has been meticulously refined, transforming death education into a gentle artistic experience.
