Group Exhibition: Into the Trance

RAW for Visual 2025 has commissioned young curators YANG Dan and CHEN Xi to curate a group exhibition titled “Into the Trance”. YANG Dan and CHEN Xi have been active in contemporary art curation, cross-cultural narrative space design, cross-media research, and perceptual practice. They keep focusing on the cultural psychological changes brought about by technological intervention and boundary deformation of physical experiences. This group exhibition brings together multiple intermedia artists, whose works span installation, video, sound, and performance. It is a multi-media art exhibition exploring perception, states of consciousness, and contemporary ritual mechanisms. The exhibition will explore the transformation and reconstruction of perception, rituals, and spiritual experience in the digital society. It attemps to create a multi-sensory “consciousness laboratory,” guiding audiences through immersion and wandering to rethink the return path of mystery and ritual in contemporary society.
