Alan Gilbert, Joshua Bell and NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra

With a history spanning over 80 years, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra serves as a global ambassador for Northern German music. Under the baton of chief conductor Alan Gilbert, the orchestra continues to expand its repertoire with diversity and innovation. In 2018, the orchestra gave two highly acclaimed performances at the 20th China Shanghai International Arts Festival, earning enthusiastic praise from classical music audiences. Seven years later, Gilbert returns to China with the orchestra, joining forces with Joshua Bell, music director of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and Grammy-nominated violinist, to present two stylistically distinct classical concerts over two days.
