The Staatskapelle Dresden, founded in 1548 by Moritz, Prince of Saxony, is one of the world’s oldest orchestras and has a rich history of collaboration with numerous master conductors and leading soloists. Its current chief conductor, Daniel Gatti, brings extensive international experience to the ensemble. Pianist Bruce Liu, winner of the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition, is now active on the global stage. This concert series will span two consecutive days, featuring a diverse repertoire that ranges from Classical to Romantic styles. The second concert will showcase a collaboration between Bruce Liu, Daniel Gatti, and the Staatskapelle Dresden.
