RCO BRASS Concert in Shanghai Special Guest: Eric Miyashiro

RCO BRASS will join forces with renowned lead trumpet virtuoso Eric Miyashiro for an extraordinary concert bridging the worlds of classical and jazz. The first half of the programme will showcase the versatility and power of brass through Gluck’s Dance of the Furies, Shostakovich’s Jazz Suite No. 2, and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite. The second half shifts to a more modern soundscape, featuring Whitacre’s October and Pärt’s The Deer’s Cry—a balance of lyrical subtlety and sonic grandeur. Eric Miyashiro will also join the ensemble in dynamic performances of Maria, September, and Fly Now, delivering a vibrant and contemporary musical experience.
