Having grown up in Japan and the United States, Tomokazu Matsuyama's work combines Eastern and Western aesthetics to echo the experience of growing up in different cultures. This exhibition will showcase the artist's creative themes of deconstructing and reconstructing familiar motifs to reflect the phenomenon of globalization and constantly experimenting with the meaning of 'reality' and 'culture'. The exhibition hopes to help contemporary Chinese audiences understand the visual language of global popular culture and to deepen peace and friendship, and mutual understanding between China and Japan, serving as a bridge to connect friends from all walks of life in China and Japan, promoting future exchanges and mutual appreciation in the field of culture and art between the two countries, and serving as a testimony to the friendship between China and Japan.
