The 24th China Shanghai International Arts Festival International Dialogues were held under the theme "Shaping a New Ecosystem for a New Era," bringing together a multidimensional dialogue that bridged technology, culture, and industry.
Centered on the theme of AI Revolutionizing the Arts, the keynote dialogue examined how intelligent technologies were reshaping the entire chain of artistic creation, production, and dissemination, while exploring the preservation and renewal of cultural diversity through the dynamic interplay between technological empowerment and humanistic values. Under the theme "Global Stage, China Opportunities," a series of concurrent sessions—including networking opportunities, Producers' Dialogue, and the AI+N Workshop—promoted creative collaboration, efficient resource integration, and new models for the integration of culture and tourism.
At the regional level, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Programs and the 5th Annual Conference of the Network of Silk Road Arts Festivals & Pitch Session for Member Festivals strengthened international networks through regional cooperation. The Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) Seminar & Workshop, together with the Silk Road Arts Education Joint Meeting, focused on empowering young people through theatre and advancing international collaboration in arts education. The Legal Issues in the Performing Arts Industry — Legal Responses to Innovation and Market Practices addressed issues including blind box ticketing and AI copyright ethics through case studies, contributing to sound industry development. The Urban Culture International Dialogue explored urban cultural strategies in the AI era, while Global Talk: Visual, Performance and Festival Arts provided a public platform for exchange between the visual and performing arts.
The International Dialogues built a global network for cross-disciplinary exchange spanning five continents. They focused on the deconstruction and reconstruction of art in the age of AI while engaging with broader issues including cultural diversity, artistic heritage, and digital ethics. The programme demonstrated the China Shanghai International Arts Festival's cultural confidence and forward-looking vision in fostering an open global arts ecosystem, while jointly exploring a future artistic community founded on inclusive mutual learning and the symbiotic coexistence of technology and humanity.
